End of '08

Well, I'm hoping y'all had a lovely Christmas; and I'm hoping y'all will have a lovely new year. I'm jetting off with the family on New Years day to Lanzarote so we'll be sunning it up (here's hoping) by the pool, while everyone else back home will be enjoying the typical Scottish weather that is so world famous (for all the wrong reasons). Anyway hope Santa was good to everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas or festive holiday if you don't celebrate Christmas. Love yaz xx

Merry Christmas!

Yey! Christmas is 2 days away. Don't know what I'm getting, if anything. We're all heading down to my auntie's house for Christmas dinner. I can't really say I'm looking forward to it, I like to stay at home on Christmas and have a duvet day plus I've never really been a fan of family gatherings. It's just not my thing. Hogmany's just as bad : but hey, I guess you can't win 'em all right? Anyhoo, hope you all have a nice Christmas and 2009 treats you well :)

End of an Era

Well, that's that. Done. Dusted. I'm just back from school after handing in my leavers form. So I'm now a free girl! It was good seeing my teachers and they were all really nice. So that's it done, 13 years of being institutionalised in education, or whatever you want to call it, finally got to me and I decided it was time to get out.
It feels weird. I left the school feeling like a huge weight had been lifted, I guess I'll just need to wait for it to sink in now. So yeh it's good, no more deadlines (for a while), no more homework (for a while), no more Mole (for. . . ever!)!!! (Private joke). So I'm now going to apply to college, hopefully get on a jewellery design course, something creative.

Watch this space xx

New age, New start

Forget New Year for making changes, I decided to start the second I hit 17.

My 17-ness started absolutely fabulously. I spent my birthday in that place we all love, the hospital. Yes you heard me correctly. I stupidly dislocated my knee 2 week before and was told I had chipped the bone and needed to get the loose chip removed. How fun, so I had my first operation, EVER, on my birthday. It was weird, I normally start planning my birthday like months in advance, but this year I just didn't. I didn't even start thinking about it until like, three weeks before. It was like I knew that I would end up not being able to do anything anyway so I didn't make any plans. I swear I have an intuition that tells me these things. Anyway that's how it all started. Me lying in hospital scared out of my mind waiting to be knocked out for an hour, needless to say it was the best day of my life *note the sarcasm*. I'm recovering well though, I can now walk like a normal human! Amazing. I didn't realize how much I took my knees for granted. For the week and a bit that I couldn't walk by myself, I was aided by hideous NHS crutches. I got so sick of the dreariness of them I just had to do something about it. So Mum and I popped into B&Q to pick up spray paint. The next day I was over at my Nana's house. I arrived with horrible grey/silver crutches and left with pink and gold glittery ones. They truly rocked. Even the nurses loved them.

So that's the birthday antics, fun or what?

I'll be back soon, literally. I'm off to get my leavers form signed, anyway more about that in my next post xx
